Position Summary We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Compounding Operators to join our manufacturing team in Buena Park, CA. The ideal candidates will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and processing raw materials according to established formulas, batch instructions, and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to operate industrial mixing equipment, and a commitment to maintaining product quality, safety, and accurate production documentation. Key Responsibilities Review work orders, formulas, and batch instructions before beginning the compounding process. Verify that all pre-weighed ingredients correspond to the correct work order and batch. Confirm item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities before adding ingredients to mixing tanks. Follow established procedures for ingredient addition, mixing times, temperatures, speeds, and processing requirements. Safely operate mixing tanks, pumps, mixers, hoses, valves, and other compounding equipment. Monitor batches throughout the mixing process and immediately report any abnormalities or deviations. Ensure the appropriate tanks and equipment are used for each production batch. Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for required inspections, verifications, sampling, and batch release. Transfer finished bulk products to designated holding tanks or production lines according to established instructions. Accurately complete batch records, production logs, and related documentation in real time. Perform equipment cleaning, sanitation, and general housekeeping according to established procedures. Properly identify and label tanks, hoses, raw materials, and finished bulk products. Immediately report equipment malfunctions, contamination concerns, incorrect ingredients, spills, or process deviations. Maintain accurate inventory and material usage records. Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and established manufacturing procedures. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in compounding, batching, mixing, or a related manufacturing environment preferred. Experience operating industrial mixing tanks, pumps, and processing equipment. Ability to read, understand, and follow formulas, work orders, and detailed batch instructions. Strong attention to detail when verifying ingredients, lot numbers, and quantities. Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately measure and verify material quantities. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) preferred. Ability to maintain accurate production records and documentation. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production and Quality Control teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety and quality standards. Must be dependable, punctual, and available to work overtime as needed.
