Job Description

Job Summary:
Maintain, service, repair and operate injection molding machines and related equipment. Accept continuous training to understand and become proficient in multiple disciplines and equipment types. Around the clock production environment, running 363 days a year. Who we ARE; We are a small plastics manufacturer, privately owned, dedicated to producing plastic products of good quality, on time at a fair price. We have been producing for 18 years, growing every year. Looking for a responsible, self-motivated, team member with excellent mechanical skills and the ability to excel in a production environment. Must be willing to support all team members with the daily challenges of high speed production. Who we are NOT; An ivory tower organization with multiple layers of clueless management demanding the truly skilled to do things the wrong way because some spreadsheet or board member says so… We DO NOT require a degree or any other paper qualification. We do not believe that systems or schooling can ever replace intellect, ingenuity and integrity. We do not live and die by the alphabet soup of acronyms or programs embraced by large corporations such as Kaiban, Kaizen, statistic quality control or Scientific Injection Mold Certification, 6S, 5S, Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO 9001 Quality adherence, SPC systems, Master Production Schedule (MPS), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), tooling correction requests (TCRs), IQMS Knowledge, RJG Certification, maintenance correction requests (MCRs), ERP solution software, LEAN Manufacturing, RJG Certification, DSC, TGA, WCM (Flux), SPC/Statistical Analysis/DOE, Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk, FMEA's and QCP's for
NPI, IQ/OQ/PQ
protocols, APQP, RCCM, NPI, VSM, SIPOC, Visual Management, RCCM… Candidate Qualifications; The perfect candidate would possess strong hands-on mechanical skills as well some basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, electronic control systems, hydraulic systems, cooling systems and air systems. Any experience in machining, CNC, mold making, fabrication and design is very desirable. Some computer skills are helpful. Bi-lingual is an asset. Must be self-motivated! Just as important as the technical skills is the ability to work with team members on a diverse mix of challenges on a daily basis. Communication and awareness of the overall shop condition at all times is critical. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential. There is no perfect candidate, we are expecting and willing to train the right person for a lucrative long-term career. We are looking for the right person to invest in!
