Role:
Reporting to Injection Molding Supervisor, you will operate and monitor extrusion machinery, ensuring efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will contribute to delivering innovative solutions in plastics manufacturing, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and adjust plastics extrusion machinery to produce consistent, high-quality extruded products. Monitor machine operations using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems, making real-time adjustments as needed. Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify product dimensions and specifications. Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment, including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools. Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques to ensure smooth workflow. Assist with fabrication, assembly, and secondary operations like plastics blow molding or plastics injection molding when required. Maintain detailed production logs, shift reports, and quality documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with manufacturing standards.
Experience:
Proven experience operating plastics extrusion machinery in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining processes such as CNC lathe work and fabrication techniques. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), press brake machines, CNC equipment, and hand tools. Knowledge of plastics blow molding, injection molding, and related manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Warehouse experience combined with materials handling skills using forklifts is a plus. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for quality inspection and measurements. Physical Requirements Must have the ability to sit and stand for long periods. Must be able to lift and move items or boxes up to 30 pounds.

$20.00
