Role:

Reporting to Injection Molding Supervisor, a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator who is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of injection molding machine to produce high-quality plastic parts. This is a hands-on production role focused on running equipment, monitoring processes, and meeting daily production targets. This is not a technician or maintenance position — no mold changes, advanced troubleshooting, or repairs are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Load raw plastic materials (pellets/resin) into hoppers and ensure proper material feed Monitor machine cycles, temperatures, pressures, and other parameters to maintain consistent production Perform visual and dimensional inspections of molded parts using gauges, calipers, and visual standards Remove finished parts from molds (manually or with automated systems) and trim excess material (gates, flash) as needed Pack finished parts into boxes or totes and label them correctly Record production data, scrap rates, downtime, and quality information accurately Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping of machines, work areas, and auxiliary equipment (grinders, dryers, conveyors) Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures Notify supervisor of any machine issues, material problems, or quality defects Meet or exceed production quotas while maintaining high-quality standards Required Qualifications Ability to read and follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety documents Strong attention to detail and quality focus Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to stand for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts) and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred Skills Basic math and measurement skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Forklift or overhead crane certification (a plus) Work Environment & Schedule Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, heat, and plastic odors Required use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes) Standard shifts: 8-12 hours (day, swing, or night shifts available depending on location) Opportunity for overtime
