Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Jet Operator for the 2nd shift at our manufacturing facility. In this energetic role, you will operate high-pressure water jet cutting equipment to precisely shape and cut various materials, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the production process. Your expertise will help us maintain smooth operations on the factory floor, contributing to the creation of top-quality products. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, machining, and precision fabrication to thrive in a dynamic environment. Duties Set up and operate water jet cutting machines, ensuring accurate programming and alignment based on blueprints and CAD drawings Utilize CNC programming, CAM programming, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to produce precise cuts Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine material requirements and cutting parameters Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on water jet equipment, including Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling tools while maintaining a clean and organized work area Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly line tasks, and packaging processes to meet production deadlines Requirements Proven experience operating water jet cutting machines in a manufacturing or factory environment Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality control Knowledge of factory safety protocols including forklift operation certification is preferred Basic math skills for calculating measurements and material quantities Experience working in manufacturing facilities with a focus on machining, fabrication, or materials handling is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently during the 2nd shift while maintaining high standards of safety and quality Join us as a Water Jet Operator on our 2nd shift team to help deliver exceptional products through precision machining!
