Job Description

Rubbercraft is seeking a Mix Operator Technician (1st Shift) About Rubbercraft (RCC): Rubbercraft is a trusted leader in engineered elastomer solutions serving aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. Our team designs and manufactures precision-molded seals, gaskets, and custom rubber components that perform in the most demanding environments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Weigh ingredients as specified by the formula provided by the lab when necessary. Mix Rubbercraft's compound formulations according to written instructions and
IAW WI 751-19
Maintain inventory and order ingredients as needed. Conduct Visual In-process inspection to verify correct weight on ingredients. Maintain proper formula traceability. Follow all proper batch release procedures ref. FIFO. Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficiencies exist on Opportunity for Improvements (OFI) forms. Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook or directed by your supervisor. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School Graduate or GED equivalent 2+ years working as a mixer in a rubber manufacturing environment. Read and write English, be able to follow and complete router instructions.
OTHER SUBJECTIVE CRITERIA
Attention to detail Working knowledge of different mixing mills, safety equipment and applicable tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Good eye hand coordination. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
On the job training will be conducted on Procedures and Work Instructions from the area of responsibility. Yearly refresher training on FOD, Calibration, Documentation control and Safety Topics.
