Responsibilities Operate shredding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring continuous processing of recyclable materials. Manage material handling equipment such as loaders, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to transport materials within the facility. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on shredders and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance. Handle recyclable materials with care, adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Assist with landfills and solid waste management activities by sorting, cleaning, and disposing of waste according to environmental standards. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently to maintain a safe work environment during outdoor operations. Support sanitation efforts by keeping work areas clean and organized, complying with safety regulations at all times. Skills Proven experience operating material handling equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of shredding machinery. Knowledge of recyclable materials handling, landfill management, solid waste management, and environmental compliance standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor settings. Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations, safety regulations, and safety protocol adherence. Excellent understanding of heavy equipment operation combined with outdoor work experience.
