Job Title:

Assembly Technician Job Description Join a dedicated assembly team in an industrial manufacturing environment producing pole line equipment for major utility companies. You will work at either the Components table or the Crossarms table, assembling parts and subassemblies that are critical to safe and reliable utility infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with tools, repetitive but essential tasks, and the opportunity to grow into a long-term position. Responsibilities Assemble components at the Components table, such as hardware similar to nuts and bolts, following detailed instructions and quality standards. Count, package, and box assembled components to the required quantities with high attention to accuracy and consistency. Work independently at the Components table, maintaining a steady workflow and meeting daily production targets. Assemble Crossarms by installing brackets, braces, copper wire, signs, and other components onto utility arms. Operate as part of a three-person team at the Crossarms table to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely. Palletize completed utility arms and prepare them for shipment to utility customers in accordance with shipping and handling procedures. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical assembly and basic wiring tasks as needed. Follow production schedules, meet output goals, and support overall warehouse and manufacturing operations. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures in an industrial manufacturing environment, including proper tool usage and safe material handling. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring components, tools, and materials are stored properly. Work overtime when required to support production demands and meet customer delivery timelines. Essential Skills Recent warehouse experience in a production or manufacturing setting. At least 12 months of hands-on experience in assembly, production, or general labor roles. Ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks, including working with hardware and basic wiring. Comfort using hand tools and power tools in a safe and controlled manner. Capability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail. Reliability in following instructions, meeting production goals, and maintaining punctual attendance. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials, and perform manual assembly work in an industrial environment. Willingness to work an afternoon shift starting at 3:00 p.m. and to perform overtime as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Manufacturing experience preferred, particularly in industrial or utility-related production. Experience in mechanical assembly and wiring is a plus. Background in general labor or warehouse operations is beneficial. Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburg, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
