In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. Your energetic approach and commitment to precision will ensure smooth production flows, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in plastics extrusion, fabrication, and quality inspection within a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastics extrusion machinery, ensuring optimal performance and product quality Conduct routine inspections of extruded materials using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Perform quality checks throughout the production process, identifying and addressing defects or deviations promptly Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for traceability and process improvement purposes Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment for minor machine adjustments or repairs as needed Handle materials safely using warehouse experience and materials handling techniques, including forklift operation when required Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to lean manufacturing principles and participating in team-based problem-solving Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics extrusion or plastics blow molding is highly desirable Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting Ability to operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes or press brake machines is a plus Hands-on experience with plastics injection molding, machining, or fabrication processes is advantageous Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Valid warehouse experience including forklift certification preferred for materials handling tasks Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment Must be able to work 3rd shift 11pm-7:30 am M-F Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to producing top-tier plastic products through innovative extrusion techniques. Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour
