Description of Position:

Do you have experience operating commercial or production printing equipment? Our client is seeking an experienced Machine Operator / Commercial Printer Operator to operate and maintain a Xerox Color 3100 production digital printing system. This role is responsible for producing high-quality commercial print jobs while keeping production on schedule, maximizing machine uptime, and minimizing waste and downtime. The ideal candidate has digital printing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and keep production moving in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Operate the Xerox Color 3100 for high volume color and black and white printing Review work orders and prepares files, paper, media, finishing requirements, and machine settings Schedule and prioritize print jobs to meet production schedules and customer deadlines Monitor machine performance, production volume, uptime, and job turnaround times Perform routine cleaning, calibration, quality checks, and operator-level maintenance Track production quantities, machine hours, downtime, waste, and completed jobs Work the prepress, finishing, production planning, and customer service teams to resolve job issues

Experience Required:

1-3+ years of experience operating commercial or production digital printing equipment Experience with Xerox production color printers preferred Knowledge of digital print production, paper/media handling, color management, and finishing processes Ability to troubleshoot common printing and equipment issues Basic computer skills and ability to use production management or reporting systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to print quality
