Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial equipment, including plastics blow molding machines, injection molding presses, CNC lathes, and press brake machines. Your expertise will ensure the efficient production of high-quality plastic components while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with measurement and inspection tools, and experience in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities Operate and monitor various manufacturing machinery such as plastics blow molding, injection molding, CNC lathes, and press brake machines to produce precision parts. Conduct quality inspections using measurement instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to ensure products meet specifications. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation adjustments and process control. Assist with setup, calibration, and changeovers of machinery for different production runs. Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts related to industrial equipment or robotic systems. Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments for assembly, inspection, and quality control tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of production data, measurements, and quality checks. Skills Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotic systems used in manufacturing processes. Experience operating plastics blow molding, injection molding (plastics injection molding), extrusion, or similar plastic manufacturing equipment. Knowledge of CNC lathe operations and CNC programming fundamentals. Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance. Skilled in the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality inspection purposes. Familiarity with safety protocols specific to manufacturing environments involving heavy machinery. Strong understanding of materials handling procedures within warehouse settings. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Experience working with hand tools for assembly or minor repairs. Background in manufacturing or plastics production experience is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
