(Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following): Ensures full compliance with company policies, procedures and GMP's at all time. Ensures documentation such as operation logs, batch records, etc. are fully completed, signed and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks timely and accurately. Perform machine cleaning, changeovers and set up as required while maintaining a clean working environment. Problem-solving skills to investigate and troubleshoot product issues and recommend solutions for: 1) Encapsulation issues such as denting, splitting, capsule not entering the magazine or rectifier block, capsule not getting loaded, capsule non-separation, target weight not achieved or weight variation, not closing properly 2) General issues such as machine set-up, machine performance, and documentation. Perform start-ups and reconciliation before, during, and after batch is completed. Inform Supervisor/Manager of any discrepancies during production and stop production and segregate product not in compliance. May be assigned other tasks by Supervisor/Lead or Management. Perform troubleshooting during production. Learns to identify deviations from accepted practice or procedure. Perform all material handling of product and components. Obtaining pass down information to efficiently take the place of the Encapsulation Operator at shift change and continuing to operate the encapsulation equipment while achieving consistent results and without a loss of productivity. Capable of training operators on the equipment and tasks for the encapsulation area. As a trainer, the operator will assume the responsibility for the trainees' performance until the trainee has been signed off to complete the tasks alone. Troubleshoot downtime.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bilingual (Spanish) desired. Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum 3 years of encapsulation experience is preferred.
