Job Title:
Cleanroom Technician Job Description This role supports the manufacturing of medical devices in a regulated cleanroom environment. The Cleanroom Technician follows strict cGMP standards and detailed batch records to extract, process, and package collagen-based products while maintaining a high level of cleanliness, safety, and quality control. Responsibilities Read, understand, and accurately follow batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing activities. Extract collagen from raw materials according to defined processes and quality specifications. Place collagen into molds and cut materials into various shapes and sizes as required by production instructions. Perform batching, blending, cutting, and measuring tasks with precision to meet product and process requirements. Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of manufacturing and production equipment. Sanitize cleanrooms and manufacturing areas in accordance with cGMP and internal procedures. Set up, operate, and calibrate production equipment to ensure consistent and reliable performance. Fill and package medical devices following established procedures and quality standards. Perform packaging, labeling, document control, and inspection activities to ensure accurate and compliant product release. Maintain adequate inventory of manufacturing supplies and request additional materials as needed to support continuous production. Follow all applicable cGMP requirements, SOPs, and batch records at all times. Adhere to cleanroom protocols, including gowning procedures, to protect product integrity and maintain a controlled environment. Follow written and oral instructions accurately and promptly. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to support smooth production flow and resolve issues. Participate in team-based work, contributing to a collaborative and quality-focused environment. Safely lift and move materials and supplies, up to 50 pounds, as required by production activities. Perform job duties that may require standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, and communicating verbally as needed. Essential Skills Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing in a cGMP environment. Cleanroom experience, including adherence to gowning and contamination control procedures. Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and batch records accurately. Hands-on experience with batching, blending, cutting, and measuring processes. At least 2+ years of experience in a production environment, including packaging, document control, labeling, and inspection. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to follow written and oral instructions reliably. Capability to work effectively as part of a team in a regulated manufacturing setting. Physical ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and climbing stairs as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in medical device manufacturing is beneficial. Familiarity with cGMP documentation practices and cleanroom operations. Comfort working with production equipment, including routine maintenance and basic calibration. Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and requisition supplies. Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and support overtime when needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
