Operator Job Description The Operator is responsible for packaging sterile and non-sterile medical products in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role includes performing packaging operations, ensuring product quality and traceability, applying labels, and preparing finished goods for inspection and distribution. Operators play a critical role in maintaining compliance with quality standards while supporting efficient production processes. Responsibilities Package sterile and non-sterile medical products according to established procedures and quality requirements. Perform packaging, sealing, labeling, and documentation activities with a high degree of accuracy. Follow cleanroom and controlled-environment protocols, including gowning and contamination control procedures. Verify product information, labels, and packaging materials to ensure accuracy and traceability. Inspect packaged products for defects and escalate quality concerns as needed. Prepare and transfer finished products for quality review, sterilization, or shipment. Accurately complete production records and supporting documentation. Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant work area. Meet production goals while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Essential Skills Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or packaging environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed work instructions. Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment. Understanding of quality standards and documentation requirements. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience packaging sterile or non-sterile products. Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Familiarity with GMP, quality systems, or cleanroom procedures. Shift differentials are available for off-shift schedules, including a 5% differential for second shift and a 10% differential for third shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.55/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
