Located in Denver's Sunnyside neighborhood, Crooked Stave is internationally recognized for its complex and creative wild and sour barrel-aged beers, as well as a wide variety of traditional and experimental ales and lagers. Position Overview The Production Assistant - Packaging & Warehouse Support plays a key role in day-to-day brewery operations with a primary focus on assisting packaging activities and supporting warehouse and logistics needs. This position works closely with the Packaging, Brewing, and Quality teams to ensure finished beer is packaged accurately, stored properly, and transported safely, while raw materials are available for packaging and brewing operations. This role is hands-on and physical, requiring strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety and quality, and flexibility to support production, packaging, and warehouse workflows as needed. Reporting Relationships The Production Assistant reports to the Head Brewer/Quality Manager. Essential Roles and ResponsibilitiesPackaging Support Assist with packaging operations including kegging, bottling, & canning. Clean, sanitize, and maintain packaging equipment, kegs, hoses, lines, and work areas. Monitor product quality during packaging runs and report issues to supervisors. Perform basic quality checks as directed (visual inspections, fill levels, seam checks). Maintain accurate counts of packaged product and assist with packaging documentation. Follow all SOPs related to packaging, sanitation, safety, and quality control. Warehouse & Logistics Duties Drive company box truck to deliver finished goods to off-site warehouses and distributors. Pick up raw materials, packaging supplies, and brewing ingredients as needed. Load, unload, and properly store finished product and raw materials. Assist with warehouse organization, inventory rotation, and cleanliness. Coordinate with production staff to ensure packaging and brewing materials are available when needed. Help build and wrap pallets of finished goods for orders Help keep inventory in FIFO rotation Follow DOT, company vehicle, and safety requirements while driving and handling materials. General Production Support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production and warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards. Assist with cellar or brewing tasks as needed, including basic transfers, CIP support, and material handling. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production needs and issues. Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies or safety concerns. And anything else assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a brewery, beverage production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; box truck driving experience is a must. Ability to lift and maneuver 55+ lbs repeatedly; move up to 165 lbs with assistance. Comfortable working in loud, wet, hot, and cold environments. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.
