Position Summary The Packaging Operator is responsible for supporting safe and efficient plant operations by maintaining inventory, pulling and packaging materials according to manufacturing work orders, and assisting with shipping and warehouse activities. This role ensures materials are handled accurately, equipment is operated safely, and all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements are followed.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities Cooperate with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) leadership to comply with all regulatory and company safety requirements. Monitoring critical control points pertaining to NSI's Critical Function Maintain and oversee daily stock inventories within the warehouse and packaging areas. Follow manufacturing work orders accurately, with attention to product specifications and materials. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment to move heavy materials safely. Load and unload shipping trucks as required. Monitor packaging and related equipment to ensure proper operation in accordance with established work standards. Assist shipping operations with packaging, labeling, and preparation of outbound materials as requested. Identify and report inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision or management. Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Perform other related duties as assigned. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills Prior experience in packaging, manufacturing, or operations preferred. Basic understanding of warehouse, packaging, and facility operations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer proficiency, including document management, email, and standard software applications. Ability to maintain records and follow established procedures. Physical Requirements Frequently walking, standing, talking, and hearing. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and reaching. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to use close, distant, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and adjust focus. Work performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to seasonal temperature extremes. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, high places, electrical hazards, vibration, and elevated noise levels. Must be able to work assigned schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as needed. Key Competencies Education High School DiplomaTotal Rewards J.M. U.S. Market-Based Salary Range Packaging Operator [$23.00 - $24.00] In addition to base compensation, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and profit-sharing payout.
