16Job Summary:
The primary function of this position is to set up and operate power and manual equipment to manufacture standard and special door package headers and moldings. This role involves working from blueprints and other instructions to perform various machining operations, maintaining highquality standards, and training assigned employees.Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate equipment such as power presses, arbor presses, milling machines, drilling machines, cut-off saws, routers, and hand tools to perform operations including blanking, slotting, punching, piercing, and drilling.
- Maintain and adjust setups for changes in size and style, ensuring optimal equipment performance through regular lubrication and cleaning.
- Periodically check work to ensure a high level of quality
- Provide enough material for header assembly
- Open and store incoming shipments of extrusions and perform necessary handling requirements for the job.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in operating power and manual equipment, including power presses, arbor presses, milling machines, drilling machines, cut-off saws, routers, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and special instructions.
- Experience working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Strong attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ability to train and direct employees in proper manufacturing methods.
- Problem-solving skills to address setup and operational issues effectively.
