  • Powder Coat in Farmington, CT!
If you enjoy hands-on manufacturing work and take pride in clean, consistent finishes, this role puts you at the center of powder coat production. You'll support all painting-related processes to ensure parts move on time and zero-defect, while working in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and continuous improvement. You'll join a collaborative manufacturing team that values precision, accountability, and process improvement, with clear pathways for long-term growth. What You'll Do Load parts onto the conveyor line and ensure proper preparation for powder coating (tape, plug, bond, etc.) Ensure parts are clean and dry before entering the powder coat spray booth Unload parts from the conveyor line and perform 100% quality checks on finished parts Handle parts and paperwork carefully to prevent damage, defects, and delays Follow rework policies and procedures for defective parts from internal production or customers Use tools and equipment such as forklifts, drill press, power drills, air tools, hand grinders/orbital tools, and pressure washers Deburr, grind, and clean sheet metal parts requiring touch-up or rework Make necessary adjustments to cleaning solutions on the parts wash line Assist with paint color changeovers at the spray booths Perform routine checks in the powder coat area following standard processes Read and understand blueprints and written specifications, including metric measurements Support 5S, preventive maintenance, and shop floor management activities Contribute to improving powder coating and finishing processes Stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs as required What You'll Bring Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (powder coat experience preferred) Knowledge of metal preparation and powder painting is strongly preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset Ability to read blueprints and follow written specifications (including metric) Familiarity with MS Office, quality systems, or lean manufacturing techniques is a plus Two-year technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Schedule & Pay Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM
