Job Description

The Talcott Center for Child Development in Farmington has an immediate opening for a full time Pediatric Occupational Therapist, with 1 year of experience in pediatrics preferred. The Talcott Center is a privately owned pediatric therapy clinic that offers Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as Social Skills Groups to children ages birth-21 with varying needs. We have a Comprehensive Autism Program which takes a holistic multidisciplinary approach. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic OT who is looking to provide direct services in collaboration with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of OT's, SLP's, PT's, and BCBA's. Individuals with unique backgrounds and holistic approaches are most welcome. Must have a vast understanding of sensory processing. Position includes, but is not limited to: Working in collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to facilitate the optimum intervention plan and constant communication and dynamic assessment regarding best practices for the individual child Completing client evaluations and developing treatment plans Implementing direct client intervention within a 1:1 setting, small group and larger group environments Participating in the development and implementation of group based programs in conjunction with BCBA's, SLP's, and PT's Providing parent/caregiver education with grace and empathy This is an exciting opportunity for experienced individuals looking for a dynamic position within a skilled pediatric setting.
