Summary:

As an Extruder Operator on the 3rd shift (12:00 am - 8:00 am) you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the extruding machines used in the manufacturing process. You will work to ensure the production of high-quality extruded products, specifically in the area of jacket insulation. The role requires operating the extruder at specified speeds, setting up the equipment, and ensuring the correct alignment of the center cable to insulation, while meeting required tolerances.

Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

Ability to operate extruder at required speeds Set up extruder and center cable to insulation within required tolerances Complete required tests on cable and perform all departmental tasks Must show the ability to perform to minimum acceptable productivity levels Willingness to make changes to improve job performance Strong communication and people skills required Ability to work with minimal supervision Excellent people skills

Position Requirements:

Mechanical ability Read a micrometer Load and unload pay-off reels Familiarity with in-process test procedures Understanding of manufacturing specifications Must be able to work required overtime

Education & Technical Qualifications Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and operate multiple machines, excellent time management skills to meet production demands efficiently, strong communication and people skills required.
