Location:
Newington, Connecticut CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Machine Operator candidates in the Newington, CT area. This position operates horizontal and large milling machines/vertical multi-axis CNC machining centers using premanufactured fixtures. Operates wide variety of machines with minimal or no guidance from start to finish including testing new programs. Can inspect parts to operations process sheets and adjust machines as required to meet required tolerances. Responsible for meeting quality requirements and part count daily.
Responsibilities:
Work independently or collaboratively within machine cells to meet takt time and production requirements. [li Batch andialize parts according to production and traceability requirements. Complete and maintain required production documentation and records. Monitor, change, and set cutting tools, ensuring timely replacement and compliance with tool sheet specifications. [li[/li set cutting tools, ensuring timelytch cards, standard operating procedures, inspection methods, operation sheets, and tool sheets. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Inspect parts using measuring instruments such as micrometers and indicators in accordance with operation sheets. Monitor, adjust[/, and replenish coolant levels, cluding checking coolant concentration with refractometers as needed. Remove metal chips from machines and replace or move chip barrels when full. Verify tool offsets, work offsets, and tool lengths for peers as required. [li st work offsets, tool lengths, and tool diameters to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy. Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including checking filters, spindle oil levels, and lubrication systems. Desired Background/Skills:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. [li Two or more years of machiningerience in a manufacturing environment. Basic troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify tooling issues. Familiarity with the use of precision measuring devices and inspection tools. Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Must be a U.S[ precision measuring devices and. d Holder) or have the ability to obtain the necessary government licensing to work with controlled technology and products.
