Full Job Description Job Summary:
As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of commercial finishing equipment to prepare printed materials for distribution. You will ensure that all bindery tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain commercial cutting machines (e.g., PRISM, Pivano or similar). Operate high-speed folders (e.g., MBO) to fold various print formats according to specifications. Run scoring/perforating machines for clean and precise creases. NCR padding and finishing. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with job tickets and client specifications. Conduct quality checks throughout each job to maintain accuracy and consistency. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with other team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with bindery processes such as cutting, folding, scoring, padding, and glueing. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specs. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to lift up to 35+ lbs and stand for extended periods. Flexible and dependable with a strong work ethic. Must have a valid Florida Drivers License Must be dependable with regular attendance
Preferred:
Experience in a direct mail production setting. Familiarity with USPS mailing regulations (a plus but not required).
