JOB TITLE
Laser Operator I 2nd Shift
JOB SUMMARY
The Laser Operator I is responsible for operating the laser machines and learning how to make required adjustments to machinery to compensate for material tooling, machine, or program conditions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 year of experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs
PREFERRED SKILLS
Laser machine experience Communication and problem-solving skills Dependable Willingness to learn Forklift certification Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel Pallet jack experience preferred
CORE DUTIES
Operate multiple laser machines simultaneously Check daily schedule and maintain workload Quality checks throughout processes Maintain serial number logs and cleaning logs daily Accurately fill out depth chart Maintain machine cleanliness Remove existing stickers and check box for imperfections and sturdy divider Verify the serial number on lowers to paperwork and box label After a scrap or duplicate has been identified and serialized, immediately hand over to ATF Compliance Ensure completed carts are properly staged in the tool room Conduct shift-change brief Other duties as assigned by supervisor HOURS 2nd shift Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. Friday OT if needed
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
