• FridayDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe Purlin Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining roll-forming equipment used to produce metal purlins.

This role ensures production meets quality standards, safety requirements, and scheduled output targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate purlin roll-forming machines according to job specifications
• Load coils and verify material type, thickness, and dimensions
• Monitor machine operation to ensure proper forming, punching, and cutting
• Perform routine quality checks on finished purlins (length, hole placement, straightness, etc.)
• Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and minimize scrap
• Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, and work instructions
• Track production quantities and report any issues or downtime
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPEQualifications
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Experience in roll forming, metal fabrication, or manufacturing (preferred)
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret basic drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Forklift and overhead crane experience (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
