Job Purpose Under close supervision from the Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This position requires adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Duties and Responsibilities
- Set-up the machine for the production run.
- Obtain QA release of room and machine to begin production.
- Obtain full approval to begin the run after initial capsules/tablets are approved to run.
- Operate machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed.
- Maintain proper fill blend and capsules in the appropriate hoppers.
- Perform controls for weight, thickness, hardness, capsule size and quality during encapsulation/compression.
- Report deviations to supervisor and quality team.
- Take samples throughout production.
- Maintain clean work area in accordance with GMP.
- Label all containers with required information.
- Follow GMP throughout the run.
- Accurately complete production and quality control documentation.
- Ensure cleaning logs are up to date.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures. Qualifications
- Experience as a machine operator preferred.
- Knowledge of production procedures preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Able to follow directions and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength.
- Ability to multitask.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
