•20.00 per hour (based on experience) Job Overview We are looking for a dependable and experienced Shear & Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team in Orlando, FL. This position is ideal for someone with experience operating shear and brake equipment who takes pride in producing quality work while following safety standards. The ideal candidate will be able to read shop drawings, accurately use a tape measure, perform basic math calculations, and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Operate shear and brake machines safely and efficiently. Read and interpret shop drawings and work orders. Measure, cut, and bend materials according to specifications. Set up and change dies as needed. Calculate material allowances and tolerances for shearing and bending operations. Operate an overhead crane to move materials safely. Attach and secure materials for lifting and movement. Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications 2-3 years of Shear & Brake Operator experience required. Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints. Ability to accurately read a tape measure. Basic math skills. Experience operating an overhead crane is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequent lifting, reaching, pulling, bending, and stooping.
