Job Description:

Per Diem Compression Pump Setup Specialist We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented individual to help patients set up and become familiar with their compression pumps for managing lymphedema or venous insufficiency. This is a per diem position , perfect for someone with experience or interest in lymphedema care , and who enjoys working directly with patients to support their health journey.

What You'll Do:

Initial Setup & Education :

On your first visit to the patient's home, you'll guide them through setting up their compression pump .

The process is simple:

plug in the compression sleeve, zip it up, and press the "on" button. You'll ensure the patient is comfortable and explain how the device works for their 45-minute treatment session . Once set up, the patient can continue using it independently at home.

Patient Comfort :

You'll check in with the patient to make sure they're comfortable and understand how to use the pump correctly. Your role is to educate them and answer any questions they may have.

Measurements & Documentation :

You'll take pre- and post-treatment measurements of the patient's legs or arms to track progress. You will also collect necessary signatures for the delivery documentation to ensure everything is processed properly.

You'll be the first person to help patients with their new device, so it's important that you provide clear, reassuring guidance. Experience in

Lymphedema or Similar Fields :

While experience in lymphedema care is preferred, it's not required. If you're familiar with venous insufficiency , wound care , or working with patients in home settings , you're a great fit!

No Complex Setup :

The compression pump is very user-friendly—just a few simple steps to set up and educate the patient.

Training Provided :

We offer full training on how to use the compression pumps and educate patients. DOE Location:

Ormond Beach and surrounding area (OT/ OTA / PT/ PTA / HH / MA ) , Lymphedema experience is preferred Qualifications / Licensure / Certification / Knowledge / Skills /

Abilities:

• Valid License in the state of Florida
• Two (2) years' experience, preferred.
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
• Must have a current valid driver's license, auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.
• Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills.
• CPR certified with American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Life Science, Anatomy, Physiology or a related field. May consider High school diploma or general education degree GED based on job related experience. (OT/ OTA / PT/ PTA)

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Travels to/from patient homes. Requires considerable of physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching to set up patient with their medical equipment. Must possess great teaching skills to educate indivuals and their caregivers on the use of their treatment. Must provide evidence of annual TB test and other state-required tests or examinations. Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors, body fluids and excrements, varying patient home settings.
