Job Description

Assembly must be safety conscious, dependable, organized, detail oriented, and has experience with assembly in a production environment. Goal oriented to become one of the best in the industry, developing and improving skills daily striving to have a positive solid career at Blazer Boats.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Safe, clean, quality minded worker
  • Contributes to team effort meeting and/or completing production goals
  • Self-Motivated, organizer and planner
  • Has reliable transportation
  • Assembly experience in a factory environment
  • Assemble and install equipment meeting high quality standards and daily production numbers
  • Pull wires, install equipment like Yamaha outboards, Garmin systems, stereo components, navigation systems, other hardware to specification
  • Use basic hand tools and power equipment (miter saw, reciprocating saw, drill, driver, etc.)
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and quality
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blue print specifications and parts list
  • Position parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements (MUST
BE ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE
)
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts together
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components
  • Resolves assembly problems by trouble shooting the assembly issues and correcting to meet quality standards
  • Maintains tools and equipment for proper use performing daily tool maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Work the hours required for this position. Overtime may be required
  • Minimum one year experience, preferably in a boat manufacturing or ship yard setting
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a team environment
  • Maintain high standards of quality
  • Use all hand tools, air tools and measuring equipment
  • Understand safety labeling of materials and handling of waste products in a clean and safe manner
  • Trouble shoot quality and production issues
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly in a manufacturing environment
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Able to climb in and out of boats using a ladder
  • Able to stoop, pull, push, reach, kneel, stand & grasp
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
