Position Summary:

The Butter Processing Operator prepares, cuts, mixes, and extrudes bulk butter while operating machinery and meeting production requirements in a cold environment. This role ensures food safety compliance, maintains accurate records, and supports sanitation and packing processes as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

Prepare bulk uncut butter by pulling from cooler & removing from cases to slack on tables Process slacked butter into machine to mix and extrude butter Must be able to learn & operate VeMag machine Cut butter into required specifications for mixing & pressing processes per schedule Provide & distribute cut butter to pressers for processing Document & record each batch completion correctly Able to meet minimum production requirements efficiently & accurately Assist in butter pressing & packing as assigned per production needs Able to work in cold refrigerated environment Perform cleaning & sanitation of processing facility & equipment thoroughly Adhere to all company SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, FDA guidelines & procedures, and work consistently with all food safety, quality and sanitation requirements Perform all other duties as assigned that are necessary, required or directed by management. Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Benefits Information Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Work Required Schedule:

Mon thru Thurs, 7:30am to 430pm, Fridays 7:30am to 2:00pm

  • 1 - 3 years using commercial food processing equipment & machinery
Physical Requirements:

Must be willing to lift up to 60 pounds.

  • Willing to work in cold environment Ability to perform repeated tasks with attention to detail.
  • Willing to perform all tasks when and where assigned and as changing situations arise.
  • Ability to understand to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Maintain professional, positive attitude and good work ethics.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years previous experience using VeMag, Extruder or similar machine, preferred but not required.
  • Preferably in food handling or food processing
  • Familiarity or experience in
