Job Description

Job Summary:
The CVT Assembler will be responsible for assembling Sun Hydraulics' high-performance cartridge valves through documented assembly procedures ensuring that build meets engineering specification. This position is responsible for maintaining our automated assembly machinery including loading and refilling parts that are used in this process to ensure production goals are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reading drawings to match machine specifications for final assembly Perform assembly tasks to cartridge valves working with various part components Setting up various automated machines including part changeovers Ensuring process procedures are followed to maintain high quality of production while meeting work area quotas Developing knowledge of Sun product lines while learning to read drawings and work orders Maintains automated equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements such as oil levels, material replenishment, and equipment cleanliness Housekeeping of automated assembly area such as sweeping and vacuuming area before the next shift Communicating progress of incomplete work orders and issues to next shift
Required Skills/Abilities:
Willingness to learn and grow through Sun Hydraulics Ability to function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong communication Ability to read drawings and control plans is a plus Ability to follow directions Excellent attention to detail Team player mentality Positive attitude Manual dexterity
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Manufacturing experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing (6-8 hours) Ability to lift 35 pounds at times
