Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets-up and operate any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines Responsible for machine set up and maintenance Loads raw material Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery Adheres to operating procedures/instructions Responsible for following work ticket instructions and customer specification sheets Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity Checks quality of product run throughout job Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors Directs maintenance of machines Maintain a clean and safe work station Embrace a team attitude that aligns with core values Accurately record labor Follow all policies and procedures Other responsibilities as assigned by management
Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED or higher 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturing
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs Able to follow directions Strong manual dexterity
Physical Demands:
Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift
Work Environment:
Work performed in a plant/production environment Contains any number of elements including but not limited to material dust, fumes, and noise. Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision Expected hours: 40.0 per week
