Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Press Break / Laser Operator to support daily production of custom sheet metal components. This role requires strong fabrication skills, precise measurement, and safe operation of metal-forming equipment. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and producing high-quality finished parts. Duties Laser cut and form sheet metal components according to specifications. Program and Operate a Trumpf TruBend CNC Press Break Program and operate a Tumpf 6 KW TruFiber Laser & 4KW IPG Fiber Laser Cube. Read and interpret •shop drawings•and fabrication layouts. Measure, cut, bend, and form metal with accuracy. Inspect finished parts for quality and correct tolerances. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area. Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Assist with material handling and staging as needed. Collaborate with production team to meet deadlines. Experience Must have prior sheet metal experience with press breaks and lasers. Excellent math skills to understand sheet-metal bending tolerances and measurements. Strong measurement skills with calipers, angle gauges, optical comparators and CMMs. Ability to read fabrication drawings and understand GD&T requirements. Comfortable lifting 50 lbs and standing for full shifts. Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused. Other Attributes Must be comfortable with technology and computers, both touch screens and PC based applications. Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable interacting with a team. Machine programming and operation are necessary job functions. Must have experience or be teachable. Energetic, high ethical standards and solid work ethic. Attention to detail and safety oriented.
