The Role We are hiring a detail-oriented, dependable Lettershop Operator to join our production team on first shift (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM). This is a hands-on production role for someone who takes pride in clean setups, accurate counts, and getting the mail out the door on time. You will operate lettershop equipment at the direction of the Production Manager and serve as the last line of quality control before mail leaves our floor. Primary Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate lettershop equipment, including high-speed inkjetters and inserters. Read, interpret, and follow job tickets and USPS postal paperwork accurately. Properly bundle, tray, and palletize outbound mail to USPS specifications. Serve as a final quality control checkpoint, catching errors before mail leaves the floor. Perform minor maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on lettershop equipment to minimize downtime. Communicate clearly with the incoming shift regarding job status, equipment issues, and special instructions. Keep your work area, equipment, and surrounding production floor clean, safe, and organized. Support cross-training across multiple machines and assist other operators when needed. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and follow all safety protocols. What You Bring 1 to 3 years of previous experience operating lettershop equipment (inkjetters, inserters) required. Working knowledge of USPS mail preparation, paperwork, and postal requirements. Strong mechanical aptitude for setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting. Sharp eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Comfort in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team player attitude. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
