Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Laser Operator for the third shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming and CAM software, and a thorough understanding of blueprint reading and quality standards. Duties Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate configuration based on production requirements Program CNC laser equipment utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting parameters Conduct routine machine inspections, perform troubleshooting, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain compliance with safety standards in production areas and promote a safe working environment Collaborate with team members on material handling, tooling setup, and packaging of finished products Monitor production quality through inspection techniques including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards Use shop math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements accurately Document production activities and update logs for traceability and process improvement Requirements Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines within a manufacturing or fabrication setting Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming, and familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar systems Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and technical drawing analysis Experience with other industrial equipment such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, lathes, or fabrication tools is a plus Ability to interpret manufacturing documents accurately and apply shop math effectively Mechanical knowledge of tooling setup, materials handling, and equipment troubleshooting Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and proper use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers Basic computer skills including SolidWorks or similar CAD software is advantageous Warehouse experience or familiarity with packaging processes is beneficial Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to meet production deadlines If you are committed to precision machining and eager to contribute your expertise within a fast-paced manufacturing facility, we encourage you to apply for this challenging opportunity.
