POWDER DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR

Can you reliably work Monday through Friday from 5:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.? Can you repeatedly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday? Are you comfortable moving large powder drums with provided equipment and working around powdered ingredients while wearing required PPE? Can you follow facility rules requiring long pants, closed-toe shoes, no jewelry, no makeup and no artificial nails? Are you willing to complete a pre-employment 10-panel drug screen and background check?

JOB DESCRIPTION

Focus People is hiring a Powder Distribution Operator for a dietary supplement manufacturer in the Alpharetta/Roswell area. This priority, temp-to-hire opening is for a dependable, detail-oriented person who is comfortable performing physical work around powdered ingredients.

PAY AND SCHEDULE

$18.00 per hour Monday through Thursday, 5:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, 5:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 45-minute unpaid lunch Occasional additional time may be requested

RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep filling machines supplied with the correct powder so production is not interrupted Move and position 30- or 55-gallon drums using a battery-operated barrel lift and other provided equipment Lift and handle bags or materials weighing up to 50 pounds Check powder, labels and product information for visible quality or identification concerns Keep the work area clean and follow GMP, safety, quality and production procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, stoop and push throughout the shift Comfortable working around powdered ingredients in cold, dry production rooms Attention to product identity, labels and batch information Basic math and computer ability Manufacturing, warehouse or material-handling experience is preferred but not required Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but Spanish-only candidates are welcome Required PPE is provided Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required Jewelry, makeup and acrylic or artificial nails are not permitted Focus People is an equal opportunity employer.
