Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Saw Department Worker to join our manufacturing team. Band saw and steel saw experience is preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for operating steel cutting saws, handling raw steel material, using a crane to move steel, measuring steel to minimize drop material, and providing the welders and assembly department with components to build our products. Your expertise in machine operation, safety standards, and precision measurement will ensure efficient production processes. Safety, attendance, punctuality, and quality of work are paramount. Responsibilities Operate various steel cutting saws Interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions to ensure precise cuts and assembly Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards in production environments Conduct routine inspections of machinery for proper functioning and perform basic maintenance as needed Handle materials safely using forklifts or other material handling equipment, ensuring proper storage and transport within the warehouse Follow safety protocols strictly, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to all safety standards in manufacturing
