SAW OPERATOR

- Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM; Monday
- Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM; Monday
- Friday 11:00 PM
- 7:30 AM.
Starting Pay varies by experience 90 day and 6 month increase with satisfactory performance and attendance.
Job Summary:
Operates machine to cut metal stock to job order specifications per the production schedule.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reads production schedule, work order or job order for quantity and size. Transfers metal rods to machine using overhead crane. Install and set tension of new blade. Set blades angle. Programing to include dimensions, quantity and speed of cut. Starts machine and maintains continuous and efficient operation. Removes finished product from the hopper, bundles and applies labels. Perform preventative maintenance. Keep work area neat and organized. Follow machine specific lockout tagout procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic math skills to use tape measure, calculating measurements and verify quantities. Comprehend written and verbal instructions set in English language. (work orders, operational procedures, safety procedures, company policy). Possess high quality standards and work ethic to work independently. Must be able to be work shift as scheduled and overtime as needed.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relative work experience of 4 + years. Saw, cutting or other relative industrial experience of at least one year. Previous fabrication experience is not required, but preferred.
