ABOUT THE ROLE
Trojan Battery Company is looking for a driven and thorough person for the MachineOperator role. Your role can be in one of many areas involved in the productionof our world class batteries. As aMachine Operator, you will be committed to performing your role safely and havethe ability to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), includinga respirator. This role is a great opportunity to jump start your career in anew and exciting direction.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Ability to work in alead acid battery manufacturing plant.
  • Load raw materials intomachines.
  • Manually on and off bearmaterials from/to machines.
  • Assists in monitoringmachine functions.
  • Performs visualinspections for quality and quantity. Notifies others of problems orinconsistencies.
  • Enters data.
  • Meets qualityrequirements and standards.
  • Ability to work inextreme temperature and heavy environment is a plus.
  • Must be cleanshaven
  • All employees mustfollow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods onsite.
  • You must be able to lift50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use handtools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.
  • Strong team skills
  • Ability to solveproblems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to complete anyrequired documentation.
  • Highly dedicated with aproven record of excellent attendance.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
  • 2-3 years' manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent workhistory.
  • Forklift Certificationpreferred.
  • Basic Englishproficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
  • Basic math proficiency(addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
