Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a 3kw fiber laser cutting machines to produce high-precision metal components. Most materials are 24g-11g, primarily steel and stainless steel, some aluminum. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and quality control will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Duties Set up fiber laser cutting machines according to technical drawings, production specifications, and safety standards. Operate fiber laser equipment to cut various metals with precision and consistency. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate fabrication. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fiber laser machinery to minimize downtime. Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify dimensional accuracy. Follow shop math and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for quality assurance. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming, and CNC machining techniques. Experience with CypCUT or similar laser cutting software. Strong work ethic and time management skills. Familiarity with fabrication tools such as press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC lathes, milling machines, and CNC machining centers. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret production documents accurately. Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with factory experience in manufacturing or machining environments. Capable of operating forklifts and handling materials safely within a warehouse or production setting. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to promote a safe workplace culture. Experience with Fusion 360, Inventor or CAD software for design review or tooling setup is a plus. Excellent shop math skills along with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively. Familiarity with packaging processes and assembly line operations is advantageous.
