JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Tube Operator to join our team and contribute to the efficient and precise operation of our BLM LT7 Tube Laser machine. As a Tube Laser Operator , you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate functioning of the CNC-controlled machine, producing high-quality parts, and adhering to strict quality control standards.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate the BLM LT7 Tube Laser machine during assigned shifts. Utilize CNC controls to oversee the accurate cutting and shaping of materials according to specifications. Load and unload materials onto the machine using overhead crane equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot basic machine errors and issues, performing minor adjustments as needed. Utilize precision tools such as calipers and micrometers to measure and inspect finished parts for quality assurance. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the production of accurate and defect-free parts. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain a smooth workflow. Assign tasks to helpers for specific packaging instructions, ensuring proper packaging and labeling of finished products. Monitor the machine's performance and output, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(including education and certifications): Technical or vocational training is a plus. Previous experience operating CNC machines or similar equipment is highly desirable. Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with CNC controls and software. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and address minor machine issues. Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and convey information effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment and operating overhead crane equipment. Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow safety guidelines strictly.
