Job Summary Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Extrusion Operator I and become a vital part of producing high-quality plastic products. In this energetic role, you will operate extrusion machinery to transform raw materials into finished plastics, ensuring efficiency, safety, and precision at every step. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion machinery to produce consistent, high-quality plastic extrusions Perform routine quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurements to ensure product specifications are met Troubleshoot mechanical issues with extrusion equipment, robotic systems, and other industrial machinery to minimize downtime Follow safety protocols diligently while handling materials, operating press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC equipment, and hand tools Assist with materials handling tasks using forklifts and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse environment Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery such as plastics blow molding, plastics injection molding, and extrusion systems Support assembly processes when required and participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing workflows Requirements Proven experience in plastics production or manufacturing environments with knowledge of plastics extrusion or injection molding processes Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, CNC machines, and industrial troubleshooting techniques Ability to perform precision measurements using measurement tools and instruments for quality control purposes Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment including press brake machines, CNC lathes, and hand tools Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a warehouse setting Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot engineering or equipment issues effectively Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials safely, and perform manual tasks as needed Join us in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a real impact!
