- Previous The purpose of being a Production Worker / Machine Operator Level I
- at this level is to learn and train in the basic understanding of all machine specific operations.
Production Workers have the basic ability to set up and operate a variety of machines to produce precision parts with immediate supervision by a certified operator (level II or above). Follow established standard work under immediate supervision in efforts to obtain certification within 120 days. Production Workers follow and comply with established standard work practices under immediate supervision. The Production Worker will typically refer problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, Supervisors or Engineers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Learn how to set-up and operate machinery according to standard work. (Previous Machine Operations a plus) Learn how to make machine adjustments(Experience as a Machine Operator a plus) Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Understand and follow quality testing techniques Learn how to inspect products using precision gauges, measuring instruments and equipment(Previous Inspections experience a plus) Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing documentation and labor transactions. Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position. Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities Working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business, overtime is usually on SATs and/or sometimes SUNs Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need 2nd
