Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description The Machine Operator will be responsible for working on the foam pouring line. This role involves batching, chemical unloading, and unloading drums and totes into tanks. In addition to these tasks, the technician will assist other departments. Experience with railcars is preferred. Responsibilities Operate and oversee the pouring line. Perform batching and chemical unloading tasks. Unload drums and totes into tanks. Assist with side film and top film tasks. Clean the department after each pour. Collaborate effectively with team members. Essential Skills Chemical handling and compounding Machine operation 2+ years of chemical experience 1+ years of chemical batching experience Ability to use a tape measure Blending and batching skills Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years working in chemical manufacturing Ability to comprehend basic measurements and fractions Capability to stand for 8 hours a day Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is indoors but not climate controlled, which means it can get very hot in the summer. The work environment is team-oriented, and candidates should be proactive in assisting with facility cleanup without being prompted. The dress code includes jeans or shorts, a t-shirt, and close-toed shoes. The work shift is the 1st shift, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
