As a Plastic Mold Trimmer , you play an important role in creating quality products that support communities while working in a safe and respectful manufacturing environment. In this role, you will support fittings production by trimming and packaging molded parts, inspecting finished goods for quality, and following safety and process standards every day. A high school diploma or GED and some manufacturing or production experience are preferred, but we are happy to train individuals who share our values and commitment to safety and quality. If you want meaningful work, steady hours, and a team that supports one another, we invite you to join Prinsco. Remove excess flashing from the blow/injection mold part with a hammer or band saw. Properly trim blow/injection mold parts with a band saw or rotary cutter. Apply barcodes and package blow/injection mold parts as required. Weigh blow/injection mold parts to make sure they meet the specification for the proper weight. Measure the length to make sure the part fits properly in mold. Visually inspect finished product for defects before final packaging. Palletize and shrink wrap finished goods. Load the finished parts into the storage trailers. Verify that finished goods meet Prinsco's quality standards, Identifying and reporting defects or improper machine operations immediately. Complete accurate, real-time reporting as required. Assist other team members, as needed. Focus on cross-training, continuous learning, and improvement. Train in additional skill levels, including machine operations, computer requirements, and paperwork. Participate and support the Continuous Improvement (CI) culture. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or in the process of completion and a minimum of three months' work experience. Effective communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve a forklift certification. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently, 50 pounds 1/3 of the day, & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
