Job Description

GLASS INSTALLER HELPER
- Chicago Glass & Mirror Position Overview Chicago Glass & Mirror is seeking a reliable and hardworking Glass Installer Helper to support our installation teams on residential and commercial glass projects throughout the Chicago area. You'll work alongside experienced installers, gaining hands-on experience in glass handling, fabrication support, and professional installation while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Assist lead installers with residential and commercial glass and mirror installations Transport, unload, and safely handle glass products, framing materials, and equipment Prepare and maintain jobsites (safety setup, clean-up, material organization) Load, unload, and secure materials in company vehicles Operate hand tools and power tools under installer supervision Assist with measurements Follow all safety procedures and company protocols Warehouse and material handling as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed Required Qualifications Valid driver's license (required for jobsite travel) Proficiency with hand and power tools Ability to safely lift and carry 50+ lbs. regularly Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Reliable, punctual, and collaborative team attitude Good organizational and time-management skills Basic math, measuring, and reading ability Problem-solving mindset Professional communication skills Preferred qualifications English and Spanish Language skills Why Join CGM?
