Machine Operator Job Description The Threader Operator sets up and operates roll thread machines with minimal supervision, ensuring all products meet established quality standards. This role focuses on safe machine operation, precise measurement and inspection, accurate documentation, and continuous improvement of processes and products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Set up and operate roll thread equipment as trained, ensuring machines run efficiently and safely. + Perform machine changeovers and adjustments to meet production requirements and maintain product quality. + Follow all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines while working on the production floor. + Perform inspection checks on parts throughout the production process to monitor and verify quality. + Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and rulers to confirm part dimensions and tolerances. + Record data accurately for Statistical Process Control ( SPC ) and ISO /QS documentation requirements. + Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area to support safety and efficiency. + Move materials using a forklift or non-motorized material handling devices as needed. + Identify and communicate issues related to equipment, materials, or processes to leadership in a timely manner. + Suggest process improvement ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. + Collaborate with team members and follow directions from leadership to meet production goals. + Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership or team leads. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience operating roll thread equipment or similar machine operating experience. + Ability to set up and operate a variety of sizes of roll thread equipment. + High school diploma, GED , or equivalent experience. + Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine functions and basic troubleshooting. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and the ability to read a ruler for precise measurements. + Basic math skills to perform measurements, conversions, and calculations related to production and quality checks. + Experience performing quality inspections and documenting results. + Ability to follow safety procedures and work safely around machinery and material handling equipment. + Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained to operate a forklift. + Ability to To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
