Cleanroom Technician (Entry Level)  Job Description This entry-level Cleanroom Technician role focuses on operating molding, assembly, and packaging equipment in a controlled cleanroom environment to produce high-quality products that meet strict customer and regulatory specifications. You will support production by handling components, performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while working a rotating 12-hour night shift. Responsibilities Operate molding, assembly, and packaging equipment in accordance with product specifications and standard work procedures. Package and label products accurately based on customer specifications and quality requirements. Perform visual inspections to identify gross defects and verify that products meet customer specifications. Report identified visual defects and quality issues to the Cell Leader promptly. Enter daily production and scrap data into the BMS system with accuracy and attention to detail. Complete all required production and workstation documentation in a timely and precise manner. Move products to designated areas in work-in-progress (WIP) locations and airlocks following established material flow procedures. Order components from the warehouse through SAP and scan WIP components using an RF gun to maintain accurate inventory records. Supply assembly machines with necessary components to support continuous production flow. Complete LRPs, including opening and closing lots, and ensure all associated paperwork is free of errors. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and uphold 5S standards on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Support Lean initiatives and actively participate in lean projects aimed at improving efficiency and reducing waste. Provide suggestions for process improvements and take an active role in eliminating non-value-added activities. Support and maintain all company policies and standards, including ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, GMP, and standard work procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and operational goals. Essential Skills Willingness to wear GMP attire in a cleanroom environment for the duration of each shift. Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating night shift (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). Ability to stand and remain on your feet for the entire 12-hour shift. Ability to operate production, molding, assembly, or packaging equipment following detailed instructions. Ability to perform accurate visual inspections and recognize product defects. Ability to follow GMP, ISO, Health and Safety, and standard work procedures consistently. Basic ability to complete production documentation and enter data into systems such as BMS. Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 5S and Lean principles. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Previous assembly experience, particularly in a cleanroom or regulated setting. Prior GMP experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or similar industries. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems for ordering and tracking components. Experience using RF scanning equipment for WIP or inventory control. Work Environment The role is based in a cleanroom production environment within modern manufacturing facilities that typically produce products for the medical industry. You will work a rotating 12-hour night shift from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., following an initial week of daytime training (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). The work requires standing and being on your feet for the entire shift while operating equipment, handling components, and performing inspections. You will use systems such as BMS and SAP, along with RF scanning equipment, as part of daily operations. GMP attire and adherence to cleanroom protocols are required, and the workplace emphasizes 5S, Lean practices, and compliance with ISO, Health and Safety, and GMP standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
