Machine Operator (1st Shift, Manufacturing Exp a Plus) Odin Fabrication, Inc. - 1.0 Elburn, IL Job Details Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Life insurance Qualifications Press brake machine High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Manufacturing Hand tools Full Job Description Under general supervision of Floor Supervisor, the General Labor/Machine Operator role will work on manufacturing of sheet metal parts primarily using Deburring Machine as well as General Labor/Pem Insertion/Shear/Press Brakes machines and assisting with the fabrication process using other machines/tools and helping with other processes. Training will be provided to learn a trade and manufacturing best practices. Applicants will be required to setup personal reference calls with former employers as final step in application process. Work in fast paced environment and thrive for the sense of accomplishment as each task contributes to the larger goal. Tasks will vary day to day as projects and jobs progress. Participate and learn during hands-on training. Use hand tools for deburring of parts per print and job traveller. Learn machine set up procedures from an assigned mentor. Check and record quality per department procedures. Keep machines and work area clean. Follow all procedures and work instructions. Assist in other areas in the fabrication process as needed. Ability to interact with multiple members of different teams. Work independently and as a part of a team. Must use PPE for appropriate safety and protection. Must maintain appropriate protection equipment. Must participate in process improvement. At times will be working in a loud, dirty and sometimes warm environment. Show drive and brings innovation/processes improvement that achieve the company's short- and long-term goals. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Prolong Standing may be required. High School diploma or GED equivalent required (diploma required). This position reports to the Operations Manager. Position is Full-time, M-F, 7-3pm (true 8 hour day includes paid break).
