Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating core cutting and roll wrapping equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and monitor core cutting and roll wrapping machinery. Cut cores to specified sizes to support production and slitting operations. Weigh, label, wrap, and palletize finished rolls according to job specifications. Transport completed products to designated finished goods areas. Perform quality checks before and during production runs, including reviewing customer specifications. Conduct final inspections of finished rolls to ensure product quality standards are met. Perform data entry and complete required production paperwork using shop floor systems. Follow all manufacturing procedures, including GMPs, SOPs, 5S standards, and safety guidelines. Assist Slitter Operators with break relief and production support as needed. Perform machine start-up procedures and complete required documentation before operating equipment. Assist with preventative maintenance activities as scheduled. Submit work orders for machine repairs, maintenance needs, or replacement parts. Communicate machine status, production concerns, and job details during shift changes. Follow food safety, allergen control, and quality control procedures. Report unsafe conditions, safety concerns, or quality issues immediately. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Participate in continuous improvement activities, audits, safety meetings, and team initiatives. Support other departments or shifts as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Experience with machine operation, production equipment, or packaging machinery. Ability to perform basic data entry and complete production documentation. Ability to use hand tools and production equipment. Experience with pallet wrapping and material handling equipment. Ability to operate a forklift, hand jack, and/or overhead hoist system preferred. Ability to read measurements using standard and metric rulers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be available to work 12-hour shifts.

Pay:

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
