A Manufacturing Machine Operator operates machinery used in a manufacturing facility, including a range of machines used for the production or transport of goods.
We are seeking dependable and safety-conscious Machine Operators for our 2nd and 3rd shift manufacturing teams. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment used to manufacture high-quality products. Sunday night into Monday, 12:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m.; Monday through Thursday, 10:00 p.m.-6:30 a.m. Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor assigned production machinery. Review work orders, blueprints, specifications, and production instructions. Load raw materials and components into machines. Adjust machine settings, tooling, speeds, feeds, and measurements according to job requirements. Inspect parts using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools. Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. Identify defects, machine malfunctions, and production problems. Make basic machine adjustments and notify the supervisor or maintenance team when additional assistance is required. Complete machine changeovers and assist with tooling changes. Remove finished parts and prepare them for the next production process. Accurately record production counts, scrap, downtime, and quality information. Maintain productivity while meeting safety and quality expectations. Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and company policies. Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Wear all required personal protective equipment. Work cooperatively with production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse employees. Perform additional production duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous machine-operation or manufacturing experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn different machines and processes. Ability to read basic blueprints, work orders, and written production instructions. Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other inspection tools is preferred. Ability to perform basic math and accurately record production information. Strong attention to detail, quality, and workplace safety. Ability to troubleshoot basic machine or production issues. Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time. Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. Willingness to work overtime when required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift. Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate machinery and handle production materials. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate-to-high noise levels, moving equipment, and changing temperatures. Work Environment This position is performed in an active manufacturing facility. Employees must follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
Pay:
$18.00 - $18.90 per hour
